15who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation16because in him all things were created, in the heavens and on the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him17and he is before all things, and in him all things hold together18and he is the head of the body, the assembly, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that he might come to have first place in everything19because in him all the fullness was pleased to dwell20and through him to reconcile all things to himself, having made peace through the blood of his cross, through him, whether things on the earth or things in the heavens21and you, who were once alienated and enemies in mind by evil works22but now you have been reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and blameless and irreproachable before him23if indeed you continue in the faith, founded and steadfast, and not shifting away from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a servant
